The New English Arts Club
The New English represents the very best of contemporary British figurative painting. It is one of the foremost exhibiting art societies. There are about 70 members, half of whom are women artists. Figurative painting includes all painting that is based on nature - on representation of the visual world.

Royal Water Colour Society
The Royal Watercolour Society originated as a protest group of artists who felt themselves poorly represented by the Royal Academy. It is not a school of painting in the sense of the French or Italian schools, instead it was simply a society that many of the finest painters in watercolour of the time wanted to join.
